Puerto Rican film, television, and theater actress, writer, and producer, Joann Polanco, and the
esteemed television sports director and producer for a prominent Hispanic broadcasting
company, Edwin L Colón Lopez, Sabel was destined to carry the torch of the arts.
Her artistic roots run deep, with a lineage of actors in her family, including her grandparents.
Sabel's journey into the world of performing arts began at an early age, as she started dancing
Ballet and Jazz at the age of 3. Her foundation in the arts was nurtured at her mother's esteemed
performing arts school, Escuela de Artes Joann Polanco, and she has continued to dance
passionately throughout her life.
Sabel's dedication to her craft led her to remarkable experiences, including dancing with
prestigious institutions like the Joffrey Ballet Chicago and Ballets de San Juan Puerto Rico,
where she participated in productions such as "Coppélia," "The Russian Nutcracker," and "La
Princesa y el Zar."
She is currently honing her skills as a film director at Columbia College Chicago. Sabel's passion
for the art of storytelling drives her ambition to pursue acting as a lifelong endeavor. Her most
recent project, a poignant short film addressing issues of female abuse, is set to be showcased at
a distinguished film festival in Puerto Rico.
In the upcoming film produced by "JP Entertainment," founded by her mother Joann Polanco,
Sabel is poised to take on the role of young Hadassah, further solidifying her presence in the
world of cinema. Beyond her acting career, she shares her expertise as a Ballet, Jazz, and Hip-
